I loved this series, sorry it ended.
Reminded me of The Bodyguard
I have been obsessed with all things Secret Service since after Obama was elected president and I was looking for books on the brave heroic organization when I found this one so I bought it and read it. It reminds me of the movie The Bodyguard with the romantic parts. A girl (presumably a 15 or 16 year old) whose family owns and manages a small inn in NC falls for a young Secret Service officer when he stays at the hotel after being assigned a leave due to being wounded by a bullet. The young man (who is probably in his early or mid 20’s) does not tell the girl what he does for a living, leaving her to suspect that he’s a “security guard” until when they’re on a date. I liked the story but some parts were not as interesting as I thought they were going to be but it was overall a beautiful and romantic book (it kinda reminded me of a Hallmark Channel or Lifetime movie) but I probably won’t read it again.
