AWS Certified Solutions Architect Official Study Guide
It is a good overview of AWS essential services. A detailed explanation of the prerequisites for exercises, e.g. an AWS account is needed, but no mention of it is done. Also needed is a way to understand the costs involved for each exercise. It is unclear if an exercise is particularly cost effective. Many will have business sponsors that can cover the costs of the exercises and many will not have such a sponsor and hence will be cost sensitive. At the very least, an explanation of the AWS Free Tier account is needed. What is the overall cost of doing the exercises? How do I free up all resources in the exercises to insure that costs are minimized? What key resources per exercise need to be freed such that there are no gotchas at the end of the month in terms of AWS billing. Are there any emulators/simulators that can be used in addition to/instead of AWS services? Screenshots of the AWS provisioning GUIs are needed.
