Forgiveness
This was another Brenda Jackson masterpiece! Kara and Virgil were two people living in their own separate hells because neither of them have the will to forgive. They were both holding on to a grudge that would not allow them to move forward.While Kara was trying to subtly convince Virgil that he needed to forgive her and allow them to move forward, she too was guilty of not forgiving her sister for an old wrong that ultimately put her at odds with Virgil. The wave of emotions was palpable.
The grudge sex with Virgil and Kara was ultimately make up sex. Through their bodies they were able to let go of their animosities and be at peace with each other. It has been said the people are only honest with their feelings during arguments and lovemaking. Kara and Virgil were both honest with their feelings at both those periods but just not verbally. Because they know each other so well they understood what was being said without words. They were both being cautious in either want to be the one to address the elephant in the room and come forward with your feelings. So Virgil did what he did best to protect his heart and distance himself. Kara did what she does best and stayed away from him.
At the end of the day and with some intervention both Kara and Virgil were finally able to let go of that anger and move forward. They both finally realize that anger hindered their progress and their peace and happiness with each other.
