Bad Blood

A killer without a master. A monster without a leash. And the woman he loves is about to become just as dangerous.

Xavier "X" Blood is a contract killer. Cold, calculating, devoid of feeling. He knows the best way to drive the life from another human being's eyes, but what he never bargained on was wanting to save a life he was meant to take.

Mercy Reid was good at running from her demons…until she met X and her life was thrown into chaos. Now she finally has him on her side—and in her bed—but loving a killer comes at a cost far greater than she ever anticipated.

On the run, X and Mercy must learn to trust one another if they have any hope of surviving the chaos closing in around them. Revenge, truth, lies, heartache, insanity…all of it threatens to tear apart the fragile thing growing between them.

But Mercy is done running. She'll do whatever it takes to avenge the horrors Sykes put her through, even if it means becoming something she never thought she could be. Even if revenge drowns the last of her soul in the bad blood threatening to destroy the one thing she holds dearest.

X.

Bad Blood is the second book in the Royal Blood series, a dark romantic suspense series of assassins, revenge, deadly secrets, and dangerous desire. X has spent his life without a conscience, but as Mercy descends into a darkness of her own, he may be the only person capable of pulling her back.
