Nice set of books
THE DJINN WARS: BOOK 1 - CHOSEN
This is one of the most talented authors I've read. I loved this story and look forward to reading more. The main character is a believable young woman and the character development was great. The only problem I had with the book was the sexual content. I had to skip those sections.
The main character is the oldest daughter of a family of four. One day, nearly everyone in the world dies of a seemingly random virus. She is immune to it. She watches helplessly as her parents and brother die and turn into dust.
With the help of a disembodied voice, she finds a new place to live. Then a stranger comes along with whom she becomes close.
The book ends with an incredible cliff hanger, however, the questions that arise about what actually happened are satisfactorily answered before the close of the story.
DEAD RISING: THE TEMPLAR - BOOK 1 by DEBRA DUNBAR

BEYOND THE VEIL (THE VEIL SERIES #1) by PIPPA DACOSTA
Not a fan of books with demons. Lost interest.
WOLVES: I BRING THE FIRE PART 1: A LOKI SERIES by C. GOCKEL
These characters are developed very Well. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Would love to read the rest of the series.
THE LAST NECROMANCER: MINISTRY OF CURIOSITIES, BOOK #1 by C. J. ARCHER
I enjoyed this book. First book on necromancers that I've read.
NEFERTITI'S HEART: THE ARTIFACT HUNTERS BOOK 1 by A. W. EXLEY
This looks like the beginning of a great series. The main character, Cara, is a great hero. She can fight, she can protect herself. When she inherits her father's estate, she is thrust into a battle for all he had collected over the years. One man who pursued his assets chooses to pursue her instead. It's a cool love story and contains steampunk and paranormal elements. Reminds me of Warehouse 13.

Bad magic book set
All of the included books would have been amazing to read if not for the sex scenes spread throughout. It as vulgar and not enjoyable. Only two of the books didn’t have it and those still hinted at it.
I would have liked to read books with these characters and plot lines. I only protest against them for implying that it wouldn’t be any good if they didn’t have these sexual implications.
A kiss - Okay. A hand caress - Okay. Much more and it's just pathetic.
Collection
I give this collection of stories five stars. There is only one story in the collection which I did not care for, “Lost Wolf”. The main character , Victoria, was a whiney weak character. For an alpha female she was weak. Did nothing to find out who she was but always crying how she did not remember anything. Now Toby was a bit of a weak character as well. He did nothing to help Victoria regain her memory until after he was released. He was a bit whiney as well because he wanted Victoria but really wasn’t forceful enough emotionally or leadership like to move things along.
I would read more by the other authors in this collection but nothing by Stacy Claflin, author of Lost Wolf.
