Born in Carmel, Calif., to devout Mormon parents, Gay moved with her family to Utah before her freshman year at Brigham Young University. For most of her adulthood, Gay writes, she didn't question her faith, but after her decades-long marriage ended in divorce, she felt isolated from her community and realized how Mormonism encouraged its followers to "suffer silently." I think that this book was great. It truly tells the story about the authors life and the experiences that Heather Gay has lived through.

This is a great window into the world of the church and how much we don’t know about the lives of others.
A must if you WATCH RHOSLC
Gives such a good understanding of Heather and her crisis of faith, departure from the church, and why she has had a crisis of identity when being Mormon is not just a faith but seen as a culture. Short easy read.
