Okay read…
There were a few grammatical errors that didn’t necessarily take away from the book, but rather caused a small pause as you tried to figure out the Author’s intent. Additionally, the love scenes were initially uncomfortable as I felt like Dax was sometimes forcing himself on Clara. Clara was attracted to Dax but did her attraction automatically give consent? As the story progressed the love scenes became better and felt more consensual. Finally, although the story had a Happy Ending, I felt like sensitive topics such as male on male rape, attempted rape, and trauma were glossed over in the story as if they had no effect on the victim, as is obviously not often the case. Overall I would give this book a 3 stars.
