Publisher Description
Beth is depressed. Her people are safe in Grizzly Cove, but she feels as if she’s losing all her friends as they pair off two-by-two with their bear shifter mates. She’s only just found freedom by running away from her oppressive home. It’s not fair that she’s losing her new family too.

Plot holes and character flaws
I found Beth to be a particularly unlikeable character, and her personality didn’t have a redemption arc so much as an about-face. Trevor was just okay, but I just couldn’t handle how many allowances he made for Beth’s behavior (whether she was acting like a b**** or a helpless baby). Significant plot holes with respect to wards around town, and the attempt to resolve them seemed really weak. I felt like the establishment of some of the characters was necessary for future books in the series, but that the protagonists and their actual romance were a throw-away.
