Well plotted, witty, engaging mystery,
Bake, Batter, and Roll is a well plotted, witty mystery. The characters are well-developed, and the mystery is intriguing. There are plenty of twists, turns, red herrings, possible suspects and motives to keep the reader engrossed. Ms. Bruins’ descriptive writing draws the reader in, making them feel like they are taking part in the action. By now, the recurring characters feel like family. The grandmothers really shine in this one. I highly recommend this delightful series to readers who enjoy witty, well-crafted, cozy mysteries.
Hard to put down!
This is one of my favorite series. Sally is awesome and I love that there are recipes at the end. A great read with a few laugh out loud moments. I highly recommend this book as well as the whole series. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
