When Clint Adams's old friend Detective Talbot Roper invites him to Denver, Colorado, to help out on a case, how can he refuse? For three years a series of robberies has besieged the southwest, and Roper believes they're all being perpetrated by a single mastermind. Clint's job is to devise a trap to catch the bandits in the act, and to outsmart their nefarious boss. 


Unknown to the Gunsmith, his adversary is Henry "Fat Gator" Miller. He made a fortune dealing in Texas cattle, but prefers the challenge of running an outlaw gang. He knows Roper is on his trail—but before he can snuff out the snooper, he'll have to deal with the Gunsmith...
