Basic Image Processing In Mathematica

Mathematica has impressive image analysis capabilities and these have been expanded in version 10. However, learning the potential and assembling the capabilities into a workflow from the built-in documentation is very difficult. Boardman’s book provides a holistic overview with nice snippets of Mathematica code and resulting images as well as appropriate video clips of Manipulate behaviors.

The writing is clear and concise, the book is well laid out and, clearly, much effort and passion has gone into crafting this tome. Given the very high quality, it is amazing that it is free.
