Worth dyeing for.
Ten years ago, Ryan Comeaux was convicted of killing his girlfriend and was sentenced to life in prison. Now a witness has come forward who claims she was with Ryan the entire night and it’s not possible that he was the killer. But the local police assume she’s mistaken and aren’t interested in reopening what they view as an open-and-shut case.
The witness, Kelsey Spalding, has her own reasons for wanting Ryan’s conviction overturned and hires Swamp Team 3 to prove him innocent. Fortune has solved cold cases before, but never one with so little evidence and so many suspects with not only strong motive but opportunity. Can she solve a decade-old murder, or will the real killer strike again to cover his tracks?

I love these books
This was a good read. I now want to move somewhere like Sinful, LA.
Hubby says no too many snakes, and other critters to freak me out. lol
😂
Still I just want to take a small trip to NOLA. I’ve never been to the East Coast.
She makes me want to experience Mardi Gras just at least once. It would be so fun.
Love this series!!!
I absolutely cannot get enough of Fortune, Gertie, and Ida Bell!!! I love these books!!!
Gertie falling isn’t funny any longer
We finally had a new one with a robust plot and more than the three main characters in Swamp Spirits after the series had trailed off into each book being irritatingly similar. I had hoped the author got some wind in her sails and was putting in the effort she did for the first several books. Nope. We are back to predictable and unsophisticated. This formula of Gertie causing a ruckus and Ida Belle getting irritated at Gertie and blah blah blah. Enough already. Walter nor Marie have made an appearance in ages. In fact none of the peripheral characters we grew to enjoy so much are written about anymore. And the plots- so predictable. I knew who it was after he was introduced. Ugh it reads like a middle schooler wrote it. Yet I’ll swear now I’m done with this trash but when the next one comes out I’ll probably read it with renewed hope it’s actually good.
