Still a great read
I don’t know if this my first Mechwarrior book I read probably closer to twenty years ago. But it’s the first one I remember; the original cover art was awesome with our villains pillager towing over a crippled commando. The hero’s lineholder unleashing everything into it. The journey of a boy becoming a warrior, that warrior becoming a veteran. Sacrifice, questioned ideals, personal loss. This is great book to start your Battletech adventures.
