My kind of book!!
First, I absolutely love the premise of this book… A wife’s accidental death causes the discovery that her surviving young son had life threatening disease and needed a stem cell donor… the wife was mixed race, so the donor would be hard to find… Then, a backstory presents the mother’s twin brother as a match… a brother who came out gay and had been abandoned by his parents. That’s enough to get me to buy the book… Life is complicated and real life challenges are met head-on by the little boy’s father… and a relationship blossoms with the newly discovered uncle… Even more, but I won’t spoil it… I will really miss this storyline and these characters!! Great read!
