출판사 설명
In this sizzling Shifter Town novel by bestselling author Novalee Swan, a shy alpha falls for a wounded dove.
She's afraid of him. But she wants him.
Lily Amaretto hasn't known much kindness in her life—and never from a man.
When she's forced to accept a job working for the scariest male she's ever seen, it's about survival and redemption. She doesn't want to spend her life afraid of shadows, but did she have to start with the most lethal man in existence?
Grizzly shifter Connor Reid is complex.
He's taller and stronger than anyone else and has never lost a fight. He's also sweet as a summer breeze and shy as a prairie dog. He never planned to stay in Shifter Town. But something happened that rocked his world. Now he's determined to protect the only woman he can't have from the men hunting her.
What do two shy souls do when they want each other badly, but don't know how to make it happen? Shifter Town is about to find out...
Bear Essentials is the fourth book in Novalee Swan's captivating Shifter Town series. It features her trademark heat and emotional intensity and is perfect for readers who love sexy shifter romance and small-town charm.
About This Series
Rosewood, Tennessee—or Shifter Town, as the locals call it—has the biggest population of shifters co-existing with humans in the country. Lions, bears, wolves . . . you name it and this town has it. Along with more than its fair share of alphas. They're the lawmen, bartenders, construction workers. These strong men find their mates in the women of Rosewood, some willingly and some a little less so, but always in a story worth telling in this hot new series with small-town charm by Novalee Swan.

Flight from Fear
A charming tale of redemption and freedom from Lily’s fearful past through danger to romantic confidence helped by a patient, protective, determined bear. Delightful reading.
Not bad but it could had been better.
This novel had great aspects and less-than-appreciative characteristics. When it goes slow, it goes SLOW, just how Lily, the heroine, wants it. But then it can go FAST, making it aggravating at times.
I really liked Connor's character, but it takes forever to get a better idea of why he does what he does, like the last twenty pages. There a blips of disbelief I see because no guy or shifter can be that good. As for Lily, she isn't written quite like a victim. Considering the abuse in her background, she would be reacting differently. I won't go into details because I too weary of being a spoiler. Talk about major cockblockers, this was one of them.
Would I reread this book? Probably but only the good parts.
