I love this serie so much and I enjoyed this book, though it was my least favorite of the series so far. Ronan Matheson is the last brother it find is HEA. We don't get to know Ronan well in the first two books because he kept to himself a lot. Thought he did have a strong presence just not page time. In this book we get to know him and what makes him tick and why he keeps more to himself. He's never wanted a family of his own until Anisa Brosseau drops on him. Literally from the sky. They had good chemistry, great sexy time and a need to help and be with each other. I just didn't like the storyline that much. It was a tad unbelievable but like I said still enjoyable. And of course if you've read the other books Effie and Colleen are just as fun and precocious as in the first two books. I highly recommend this series if you like a fun paranormal romantic suspenseful story.

Oh what a fun series this is: time slips, bear shifters and the highlands – it’s hard not to find things to like. In this story, Davis uses her humor and some rather unbelievable circumstances to throw our couple together, but as this is a shifter story, the suspension of disbelief works well, making this story carry the strongest feelings of fantasy.
Roman (or Brother Bear) is a bit of a complex being: his bear side is a stress eater, rather child-like (think 2 year old in the MINE stage) and is truly the lighter half of Roman’s personality. As we have learned, the bear and human sides interact with one another, often these interactions are devilishly close to argument. Every time the bear’s voice is heard, there is an answering, and usually more adult, reaction from Roman, but both sides want Anise for their own.
Anise is a French operative, she and Roman has met years ago in Paris, but now, she is running from danger and reprisal, and the last thing she needs or wants is an entanglement. She’s a bit of a hard nut to crack, and while her relationship with Roman does carry that insta-love burden, unlike earlier titles in this series, their relationship shows an attraction, if not always one that is felt to the core.
Dialogue, both internal and external, brings a consistent sense of humor to the story, keeping the moments fresh and unique, even when stretching believability. With moments to check back with couples from the earlier titles, and a cute short story bonus make up for the near total absence of Effie, always her meddling provides scenarios that move the story along, adding a sense of familiarity and family at the backbone of the series. While not my favorite, this is still a wonderfully unique series and story, full of laughter and lightness, the perfect escape read.
