Publisher Description
The steamy outtake that takes readers even further into Laurell K. Hamilton’s bestselling novel, Kiss the Dead.
You’d think I’d get used to seeing such a beautiful man and knowing he was mine, but it never grew old, as if his beauty and the fact that he was mine, and I was his, would forever surprise me.
With a vampire like Jean Claude around, it’s far too easy for Anita Blake to doubt her own appearance—and the hold it has on those who love her. But one hot tub and two incredibly sexy men—Jean Claude and Asher—will make her feel like the most lusted-after woman alive…or undead. Not bad for a mere human…
“Hamilton remains one of the most inventive and exciting writers in the paranormal field.”—Charlaine Harris, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author
Includes an excerpt of Kiss the Dead, the new Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter novel

Pass on this.
26. Twenty-six.
That's how many actual pages this story has. Oh, and I forgot to look if the book actually started on page one, or page 3 or 5, so it may be less.
In my opinion: this is a scene. It doesn't move the plot line of Anita Blake's character forward at all. Not reading this will not change how you read the other books in the series. There's not some subtle clue hidden in these pages. I read in another synopsis somewhere that suggested that "Anita (who doesn't see herself as beautiful enough to attract some hunks!!) is finally convinced..."
1. No, she isn't. In future books, she's still needing convincing. And for a character that's so evolved in other ways, the fact that she sees her beauty as the only measure of attractiveness just isn't, well, attractive.
2. Spoiler alert!
It's just a big ménage à trois sex scene. Been there, done that. Multiple times. In every book. Sigh. I'm not a prude, but it's getting kind of old.

Way to short......can't wait for next one!
Don't bother...
One sex scene that follows the same path and feel of every other sex scene she has written. She needs to make Anita more cop and monster then this droll stuff she has been wasting our time with lately... Also pricey for the tiny amount of writing. Sad.
