The Command Upgrade Guide is intended for prospective First Officers who will soon be upgraded to a Commander. The transition from the right to the left seat is relatively short. It is crucial for First Officers to utilize their time in the right seat to prepare for their eventual transition to a Command role. This book contains various notes compiled from different sources to facilitate this process. Its objective is to prompt contemplation on a wide range of aspects connected to assuming the role of a Commander. I have the privilege of looking back on a remarkable 25-year journey as a Military and Commercial Pilot involved in global operations across 153 countries. During this incredible adventure, I've had the honor of fulfilling diverse roles, including that of a Commander, a Line Training Captain, and a CRM (Crew Resource Management) instructor, enabling me to share my wealth of knowledge and expertise. To this day, I remain dedicated to flying globally and passionately guiding the next generation of Pilots.
