Relatively good read
A collection of classic fairy tales retold in a more modern and adult light. Several strong stories such as "Wali Daad" and the "King Who Laughed." A few stories which I personally didn't like as much, such as "Snow White." Overall, a good read, but IMO worth a paperback price, not the 12.99 that I paid for it.
Tantalizing
The twists on the classic tales go back and forth from fantasy to sci-fi, and is overall a novel approach to their telling. I quite enjoy reading Johnson's works and her love of storytelling really shines through.
