All the swoony intense shifter mate goodness
I loved Wrath and Rylee’s swoony fated mates shifter romance with a side of stalker danger. Like the other stories in this series I was sucked in from the very first page and could not put the story down. It was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional relatable characters who grow, and an engaging storyline. Wrath is a dragon shifter from Reylea who is now an inhabitant of earth after being transported through a magic portal while his world was collapsing. He is also a sheriffs deputy in Mystery, the small Alaskan town the Reyleans now live in. He came to the town after learning he would meet his mate there. Rylee is a socialite from Texas who breaks up with her cheating fiancée a week before her wedding. When she’s hit by a car shortly thereafter, she escapes to a family home in Mystery to hide and heal. Unfortunately danger follows her. I loved the way the characters are portrayed as being so kind, compassionate, and thoughtful to each other as well as the humans in their adopted world. It makes them very likeable heroes and oh how they love their mates. The story included sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, supportive friends, painful pasts, danger, fated mates, small town goodness, and heart squeezing love. This is book 9 in the Soulmate Shifters in Mystery, Alaska series. While these are standalones, there are overarching storylines that span all the books and the series is best read in order to get full enjoyment out of the story and characters. I cannot wait to read the next story of a HEA for one of the other Reyleans.
