Good book, but, you guessed it...
These stories are really good, but the editing is really bad. Spelling, tenses, pronouns - mostly off. I didn’t care for the product placement (Pepsi, Starbucks - and I live in Seattle, Starbucks is not that great). Nothing like that in the other books. One other glaring error: when Mac gets to Seattle, it’s mentioned this is her first trip for a case, had only been here once before for a conference... who remembers the case of the storage facilities murderer? I do.

Daughter?
The overall series has been interesting enough to keep buying the books, but the poor editing got in the way from time to time. Also, are we just supposed to forget that Ellington has a daughter from his previous marriage? I kept waiting for the author to reference this relationship but it has clearly been left out. I was disappointed with this because it would have been an interesting dynamic.
Another great Mackenzie White novel
As usual, Blake Pierce delivers a solid performance from Agent White. The story line was fresh and well thought out. However, I am only giving 4 stars because of the abysmal proofreading in this book. I am very disappointed in the lack of oversight given to grammatical errors and poor use of pronouns. Obviously most readers can figure out the gist of what’s being said, but I would highly recommend next time that a better proofreading job be done before release.
