If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all.
That saying is as old as the hills in Tennessee, where I used to live.
And it's definitely true.
I'm a bad luck magnet, at least when it comes to men.
Moving to Stone Lake was supposed to be a fresh start.
Here, I was going to build a life I could be proud of. Finally put down roots and live quietly.
Be safe and happy.
It didn't quite work out that way, but I'm stubborn and I'm not about to give up.
Ben Kingston was the first man to handle me with care.
He gave me a glimpse of something I desperately wanted.
And then, tore it away from me with the carelessness of one whispered word.
I don't need a man to complete me.
In fact, I've had enough of them.
I'm okay with being single the rest of my life.
I'll be just fine with my handy friend B.O.B.
Except Ben keeps coming around, tempting me and a girl can only take so much.
Ben's out to prove I can trust him. I don't trust any man, not anymore.
But my resolve weakens when he touches me, slides his hand down and proves buying stock in batteries might not be a good life plan.
Welcome back to the world of Stone Lake. Junie and Ben have a bumpy start for sure, but when trouble comes knocking on Junie's door, will she let Sheriff Kingston prove he won't let her down again?
Complete Standalone Romance
I received for an honest review
This read made me cry and it sent me in an emotional roller coaster of sorts my heart hurt for June I wanted to dislike Ben but I just couldn’t he won me over and I just loved this read it was heart warming and fantastic a must read
What would you do for love?
I thought that Luna and Gavin were a great couple but OMG, Ben and Junie just set my kindle on fire. Just when Ben thought he had finally found a good woman to spend his life with, he makes the worst error any man can make with the woman they are falling in love with. Junie is not one to take that easy so she walks out on him leaving Ben more into her than ever before.
This is a story of true love and the lengths a true man will go to to prove his love to his woman. Junie isn’t going to make it easy on him and neither are her crazy ex-boyfriend or her overprotective big brother Gavin, who just happens to be married to Ben’s ex-girlfriend and works as Ben’s deputy.
Confused? It’s easy to follow once you start reading. Books 1 & 2 in the Stone Lake series aren’t required reading but will add to the reader’s overall understanding. It is highly recommended that you pick up “Where we began,” the FREE prequel. This series just keeps getting better and I can’t wait for the next installment.
Love this book!!
This story was incredible, a misunderstanding broke them apart.
...but patience, endurance brought them back together.
Junie fierceness, Ben persistences. This story will touch your heart.
