Before You Ask Him

Seventeen years of friendship. One proposal meant for somebody else. And a question neither man can unask.

Owen Bennett can build almost anything.

A handcrafted ring box. A bridge glowing with warm lights. A perfect proposal for his best friend to deliver to another man.

What he can't explain is why writing that proposal feels like breaking his own heart.

For seventeen years, Cal Reyes has been Owen's constant. His emergency contact. His favorite person. The first man he calls when something goes wrong—and the one person he's never imagined losing.

At least, not until Cal announces he's getting married.

Cal has spent a decade convincing himself he's over Owen Bennett. His gorgeous, frustrating, supposedly straight best friend broke his heart once without even realizing it. Now Cal has a successful pottery studio, a good man in his life, and a future he's determined to make work.

Then the proposal falls apart.

And Cal appears at Owen's workshop holding a handwritten speech and asking one devastating question.

Who was this really for?

Suddenly, seventeen years of friendship become something neither man knows how to navigate.

Owen is discovering desires he's never allowed himself to explore. Cal is terrified of giving his heart to the same man twice. And when the biggest professional opportunity of Owen's life threatens to take him away, loving each other won't be enough.

They'll have to learn how to ask for what they want.

And how to choose each other without giving up themselves.

Before You Ask Him is a steamy, emotional MM romance featuring lifelong best friends, bisexual awakening, years of secret longing, first-time experiences, found family, and an unforgettable happily-ever-after.
