Publisher Description

The story started with Lauren screaming because of the nightmare she had that night. The dream was about the terrible thing that happened to her mother when she was six years old. It kept on haunting her from time to time, and that made the people around her think that she was losing her grip, but for her, she still thinks that she’s on the right track.

But things in her life worsen when she and Veronica became close to each other. Their relationship was the one that trigger anxiety to kick in. It is not because she couldn't understand herself about her sexuality, but because her twin brother Jake was also in love with the girl she adores. She doesn't want her brother to get involved with Veronica because she knows that in the end Jake will get hurt, and she can’t afford to see that—she loves him so much as much as he loves her so much, too. But Jake doesn't know anything about her sister and the girl he loves.

Then one night, her dream became real. She saw her mother on her bed, and that event breaks her down. She was sent to a facility where they help people to control their selves. She got out after a week because her doctor thought that she’s already fine, but in reality she’s not.

She thought being in the facility was the worst thing that ever happened to her, but she was wrong, because something came up when she was already at home. She saw her brother and Veronica exchanging breath under their lips. And that was the time she lost her grip. She did the same thing that her mother did a couple of years ago—she slashed her throat.

She didn't die, but she lost her voice. Her voice doesn't mean anything to her because in reality she rarely speaks.
Jake blamed himself for the almost death of her twin sister. But Lauren explained to him that it wasn't his fault. That’s more likely, it was actually her fault because she wasn't honest with him. But this is because she doesn't have the strength to tell him about the confusion she has for herself.

Then, she went to Veronica’s house before the day she will go back to the facility. She told her everything. Things about how much she likes her and loves her, up to the things about her sanity. She told her that she was not sane enough for her, but Veronica doesn't want a goodbye. She told Lauren that she will wait for her until she comes back, until everything in her is normal.
