Behind the Twisted Fence

Jack says magic is illegal and dangerous. But he won't say why. Nobody will. All Zelie knows is that something happened long ago that changed everything and the secrets are hidden behind the twisted fence. There are rumours of course: of giants, witches, and other made up things. But magic is real enough. She's even seen Jack using it sometimes. So it can't be that bad, can it?

Zelie can't tolerate the secrets any longer and decides to peek behind the twisted fence. In her quest for answers, she discovers the lighter side of magic. She even has a gift for it. 

But in unlocking the secrets of the past, she discovers the reason they were hidden. Now she’s put her own life in danger along with the lives of her family and friends. Her only choice is to use the magic that has been forbidden her whole life. But can she harness its power before it’s too late?
