Believe in Me

When I was admitted to hospital not even a week after I had made my new years resolution to stay positive, I had lost two stone in weight, lost movement in both legs and my left arm, and with that, I had lost all my independence. This book covers the past year of my life, from convincing people I was not anorexic, to being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,to being in hospital for two and a half months with Conversion Disorder, fighting to stay out of a psychiatric hospital. Amongst this I had to cope with relationships breaking down, coming to terms with the fact that I had apparently got psychological problems that I never knew about, having to relearn how to walk again, and worst of all, feeling that nobody understood me. I didn't need medication; in my mind, I didn't need to go somewhere else to get better; I was determined to stay positive and get through this on my own; all I needed was for people to Believe in Me.
