Believe

**Believe: Walking Through the Gospel of John**

It began with an invitation. When two curious men started following Jesus at a distance, he turned and invited them to come along and see for themselves — and John has been extending the same invitation to readers ever since. The Gospel of John was written for one stated purpose: so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

In *Believe*, Kimani Upshur, M.Ed., walks you through all twenty-one chapters of John's Gospel in plain, powerful language — from the eternal Word of the opening verses to a beachside breakfast in Galilee. You will stand at the wedding in Cana, sit with Nicodemus at midnight, draw water with the Samaritan woman, watch a blind man receive his sight, weep at the tomb of Lazarus, kneel in the upper room, stand at the foot of the cross, and hear your own name spoken in a garden on resurrection morning.

Every chapter is grounded in Scripture — verified against the biblical text, honest about the hard passages, and clear about where interpretation begins. No invented stories. No dodged difficulties. Just John's Gospel as it presents itself: an invitation to come, evidence to see, and a call to believe.

Whether you are reading John's Gospel for the first time or returning to an old friend, this book will show you why it has been the doorway into faith for two thousand years — and why its final question is now yours: what are you seeking?
