Ben the Bernard

Ben the Bernard was only a puppy when his owner Olivia brought him home to her big ranch. Olivia loved all her animals and she especially loved her new dog, Ben The Bernard.

Being only a puppy, he was much smaller than the other dogs, but sure enough he started to grow. However, that didn’t stop the other ranchers from telling Olivia that her new dog was too small to work on a ranch. Some of the other ranchers’ dogs didn’t allow Ben to be with them or play fetch. This made poor Ben the Bernard sad. But Olivia made sure that Ben knew how to stay positive, and one day he would grow big and strong, just like all the other dogs…maybe even bigger!

One snowy day some of the ranchers went up the mountain with their horses to go camping. Unfortunately, the ranchers didn’t listen. The ranchers end up getting stuck on the mountain and no one can help. None of the dogs are brave enough or wise enough to rescue the trapped ranchers….

If only there was a wise, brave and caring dog around named Ben the Bernard!
