Bend or Break

William and Eddie are best friends. William is rich, and Eddie used to be until his family moved from William's neighborhood to a less affluent area. That was the same time Eddie transferred from William's private school to public school. Their friendship endured. Around the time of spring break, Eddie gets an afterschool job that leads him to make friends with a new group from his school. At the same time, William starts spending more time with Jennifer from his class, although he'd rather spend time with her twin brother, Matt whom he has a crush on. Eddie finds conflict with their weed dealer, who lives in his old house and looks down on Eddie and his family. Things come to a head one night when Eddie gets into a fist fight with the dealer and William is found by Jennifer while kissing Matt at a party. Eddie and William reunite and discover they might have feelings for each other. Through their new weed dealer, who turns out to be a non-binary icon in the local queer community, William and Eddie find new friends who are supportive, and they form a small circle of friends, something William has always wanted.
