Before the drought, the village of Greenhaven thrived. But when unexpected auroras appear in the sky and the stars begin to shift, everything changes. As the only astronomer, Mari is tasked with seeking help, but she suspects there's more to the changing skies than meets the eye. With the future of her home at stake, she sets off for the capital of Patovia expecting answers, or at the very least to secure assistance from the Crown. Instead, she finds buried secrets, a distractingly beautiful woman, and a danger that threatens the kingdom itself.
