Adventures & Mysteries
I quite enjoyed this book. The relationship between Dar and Elara builds naturally through shared experiences and challenges, as well as the goals and mysteries that unite them. There is a depth to each character that is utterly fascinating and highly relatable. The settings act more like secondary characters that tell the tale as much as the main characters do. The story propels itself forward at a steady pace that feels neither too slow nor too fast. When I read, I hear and see the story in my mind. The fact I could so easily picture every scene, hear every voice, so clearly, says a lot for Ms. Fletcher’s writing. I found this book to be the perfect first step into a new adventure, and I look forward to reading the other books in the series.
