We first met Hal in FireStarter, he is Keanu’s best friend and fellow smokejumper. He follows his intuition one night and comes to the rescue of Felicity. He has a connection to her right away but circumstances keep them apart for several months. When they are finally reunited they figure out they have both been pining for the other. Danger is still lurking around her however. Will Hal be able to become one with the berserker within in order to save the woman he loves? Will Felicity be able to put her insecurities aside to claim Hal as her own? There was one or two things I would have liked more closure on, but I really enjoyed this book. I do hope Brax gets his book soon.
