Buffet-style serving is fun, whether supper is for 5 or 50! Begin with a buffet centered around good food and an attractive table. You, the hostess, will fairly glide through dinner! You can enjoy your party without shuttling back and forth to the kitchen; you’ll have time to chat with the guests and they’ll relax and have a good time.

Buffet serving is a natural when guests outnumber the places at your dining table. Set up card tables or small tray tables. Or let your guests eat lap-style from trays—place a stack of trays near the serving table.
