In August's world, being a Hunter is the most revered job in the City. Since the disappearance of the Forest Goddess sixty years ago, everyone's duty is defined by their lineage. Each generation must be stronger than the last. Like his ancestors, August must become a Hunter, but his ancestors are probably rolling over in their graves at how terrible he is.

After sacrificing himself so that his training partner could escape bloodthirsty mermaids, August is revived by Elu, a shapeshifter with her own secrets. Now August is connected to the forest, feeling all the death and destruction the Hunters have caused. When tragedy strikes the City, August and Elu must restore the delicate balance to the forest and humans.

Beyond Beauty Book 1 is a 118 graphic novel inspired by Beauty and the Beast with a gender-bent twist. This book includes chapters 1 and 2.
