With the assistance of his underboss Teddy, together they become the biggest cocaine dealers on the West Coast. Pepe decided that he wanted the backing of the cartel, as a way to expand his empire. Making that move to do business with the cartel put a wedge between him and Teddy. They abruptly part ways and Pepe is left without the muscle to move the product. Pepe eventually falls into debt with the cartel, and his life quickly spirals out of control.

A masterful way to weave a story
I loved this book, it is an easy read and a page turner. You want to keep reading to see what happens next. I love how the DOORS in this book symbolize our choices in life: each door we choose to walk through will lead down a different rabbit hole. I can’t wait to see where the next door leads! It is a masterful way to weave a story, so pay close attention to the story within the story and how Deuce’s abilities tie into that. The short film, The Awakening is fantastic. It gives a great sneak peek into how it all started, and where it may go; the past, present and future. A definite must see! I believe the author is giving us a coming of age story with crime and drama; laced with super natural abilities and time travel. Doing it in a way I’ve never seen before. Bravo!

Reading “Beyond Closed Doors” was a journey for Me. Every chapter that I read, felt like I was there. The author does an exceptional job with bring his story to life. I appreciate books like this. This book took me back to my child hood, and all the things I’ve encountered in LIFE! Fun times, and Very good Read!
