I’m about to do something huge, and it could change... everything.
I met Matt in second grade, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We went to the same schools, studied at the same college. When we both got jobs in the same town, we shared an apartment. And when my life took an unexpected turn, Matt was there for me. Every milestone in my life, he was there to share it. And what’s really amazing? After all these years, we’re still the best of friends.
Which brings me to this fragile, heart-stopping moment: I want to tell him I love him, really love him, but I’m scared to death of what he’ll say. If I’ve got this all wrong, I’ll lose him—forever.

Discovering the meaning of a BFF
K.C. Wells writing is unique with this charming romance story about two young men who have been friends since they were seven years old - who have shared a very unique friendship throughout their growth into adulthood. Upon graduation from their high school, they both attend the same college, sharing a dorm room in their second, third, and fourth years, supporting each other as best friends would expect from each other. Matt becomes a very popular student who forces David into joining the social school curriculum and party playground.
Their story unfolds in two points of view as K.C. Wells speaks from David’s and Matt’s experience of growing up, each protagonist relating their memories of their relationship, experiencing their growth together as the best of boyhood friends. In the second grade, seven year old David takes the new shy kid who joins his classroom under his wing, welcoming and helping shy Matt into the class’ social group both in the classroom and on the playground; helping Matt master reading and learning spelling skills. When Matt’s father gets a new job in Florida, the family moves, and the boys deal with heir close friendship ending, with their mutual understanding, promising each other to keep in touch. But, promises do not mean much to a child when life gets hectic and busier than planned.
When Matt’s father’s Florida company shuts down, his job ends, and Matt’s family return, with David and his parents resuming their familiar family friendship, with Matt rejoining his classroom friendship with his best friend David. The family’s resuming their close tie.
K.C. Wells’ story is emotional, sharing a bucket of tears, and joy, exhilarating in the discovery as their simple friendship resolves as David takes Matt on their first real date together! This story is wonderful and a fun read, as David and Matt realize a blessing in finding out what “LOVE” and “...the JOY OF GAY SEX...” means...
