Big Hearted Little Phoenix

Big Hearted Little Phoenix is based on the life of my beloved long-haired miniature dachshund who was my devoted companion through the years. He died at the age of sixteen in the summer of 2011. This book was done as a tribute to Phoenix as I grieved his passing. The story shows the special bond between a boy and his dog and how I dealt with his loss. I wanted my wonderful memories of Phoenix to live on through this book.  I also want to offer this book as a comfort and consolation to my niece Morgan, who also loved Phoenix, and to other children like her who have experienced the death of a precious pet. My aunt, Bobbie Brown, a very talented artist, did the beautiful illustrations, capturing the joy and exuberance that Phoenix always showed, right down to the smile on his cute little face.
