He loves her but can't convince her... Rafe Andrew Edward Astley, Twelfth Earl of Devon, toils beneath an ancient curse as a vampire. He has made peace with that side of him long ago, except if he cannot banish his beast, he'll never win the one woman he can never forget, the woman he fell for years ago when he stole that which he hadn't a right. Yet this Christmastide season holds promise.
She fears his beast but wants the man... Lady Elizabeth Sinclair, sister to the Duke of Manchester, is content with her life and her charity work, but she longs for something more. Older and wiser since the last time she fell in love, she puts herself on the Marriage Mart, where she tangles with the one man she fears, the man who took her blood and her innocence eleven years before, the man she still craves. But horror of what he is keeps her wary, despite romance in the offing.
A sweetly tempestuous love affair that captivates them... Rafe and Elizabeth conduct a clandestine courtship, despite the pitfalls facing them. Caught up in the thrill, understanding and compassion are the key to unlocking the fear she clings to as well as the depression he battles, but when the time to break the curse arrives, everything goes awry. Unexpected danger stalks them, and it doesn't stem from a creature of the night. Only the ultimate sacrifice can see them through the darkness to grasp their own fairytale ending.

Well not find away way?
Sandra Sookoo’s “Bitten by the Earl” is book 2 in the delightful, Lords of the Night Series, a love story with a paranormal twist. .
Long ago a Gypsy witch put a curse on some very irreverent and spoiled Lords dooming them to live eternally as half man, half beast. And in her benevolence she offered them a way out once every five years if they could truly change their ways and a pure unselfish kiss passed their lips and their hearts were pure the curse might be broken. Rafe Andrew Edward Astley, Twelfth Earl of Devon in one of these irreverent and spoiled lord. His curse is that he’s a vampire, one he’s lived with since birth because of a curse on an ancestor. Years ago Rafe fell in love with Elizabeth. She was barely twenty and unable to control the beast within him he attacked her and there coming together was violent as he ravished her. Now she’s afraid of him and and his beast avoiding him as much as possible. He regrets what he did to her and has since learned to control his beast but he can’t stop loving her or longing for her. With one more full moon this year he still had a chance to break the curse, be loved by Elizabeth … If only. Lady Elizabeth Sinclair wanted only Rafe but when he lost control of his beast eleven years ago and took what she hadn’t meant to give he frightened and horrified her.
This book was so good and I really liked Rafe and was rooting for him. He worked hard to tame the beast within himself and he truly wanted the best for Elizabeth. He wanted to be that best. Elizabeth wanted him to but she felt she couldn’t accept the terrifying beast that resides within the man. These two had a long road ahead of them and much to overcome. I enjoyed the characters, the writing and the storyline. I felt they complemented one another as the story progressed and grew. I always enjoy Ms. Sookoo’s books and this one is no different. It’s a story filled with intrigue, suspense, danger and romance. I was thoroughly captivated from the first page until the last I’m rooting for Rafe and Elizabeth to find a way to their happily ever after.
Thank you Ms. Sookoo for this exciting romance.
Interesting
Rafe was a cursed Lord, a vampire living amongst the London Ton. Elizabeth was the sister of his best friend, another cursed Lord that was a wolf shifter. Even though Elizabeth was afraid of Rafe she was attracted to him. The romance between Rafe and Elizabeth was filled with danger, fear, uncertainty, intrigue and love. Interesting story

Second Chance
Rafe Astley and a group of his friends live with a curse brought about when a group of their ancestors created chaos in a gypsy camp. One old gypsy witch cursed the men and their male decedents to live as human and beast (of one kind or another). The curse can only be broken on a special night with a special kind of love. Rafe, or Rogue, is the Twelfth Earl of Devon. He is also a vampire.
Rafe and Lady Elizabeth Sinclair have a history. They already care for each other. The problem is that Elizabeth is afraid of Rafe’s beast. Elizabeth likes her life and her charity work, but something is missing. That something is Rafe. Christmastide is upon them, as well as the last curse breaking moon for five years. Rafe hopes not only for a chance to break the curse, but a second chance with Elizabeth. There is trouble and danger for them in the form of a beast-hating vigilante. This part is exciting and has a surprising outcome. Can Rafe survive the hunter? Can he win Elizabeth? Will the curse his broken?
Engaging story with romance and a bit of suspense. Interesting characters, great hero and heroine. Good Read.
