I am in love with this series. One thing, a bit of a mystery to me. How did Lei and Stevens revive the rocking chair and cradle that had been burned in the old house? Said they lost everything? Oh well… Artists license😁

I just finished Bitter Feast, number 12 and last in the series, and have loved each story! As a high school English teacher with books and essays I must read for school, these Lei Crime series books have been my personal escape into the beauty and culture of Hawaii and the lives of Lei and Stephens. My husband is right behind me, reading each one as did I.
I rarely write reviews, but want to express my appreciation and respect for Ms. Neal and her wonderful cast of characters - each with his or her flaws, gifts, and story. You will smile with them, and shed tears with them. Mostly, you'll join them as they live their lives while seeking justice for homicide victims. I will miss each and every one of them!
