Burke is always a pleasure

It is amazing how James Lee Burke can create such a vivid picture with his writings. He is the master at drawing you into his books and stories. I have been to Louisiana on business many times which makes the Dave Robicheaux books that much more entertaining for me. He is one of favorite authors.

Excellent

Great story, love able characters. I loved the crystal clear and colorful descriptions of the bayou, the land and the reddish sky, and the lovely Montana mountains.
Dave is humanely flawed, but that makes him REAL. He has a soft loving heart for his daughter ALAFAIR.. I will continue to read all of the books in this series, I want to watch and read about ALAFAIR and how she is growing, and the development of Dave Robicheux.
