Black Dot

The little Black Dot is not very happy.  Looking around the school, the Black Dot sees only White Dots, and they are remarkably different.  Unable to express the frustration, Black Dot sometimes acts out, just to let the grown-up Dots know that something doesn’t feel right. At last, the little Black Dot moves to a different school, a school where there are Dots of all different colors and life changes dramatically.



Dr. Scharmaine L. Baker, the author of the delightful Nola the Nurse, On the Go series, has done it again. With her uplifting fable about the little Black Dot, she addresses the importance of children spending time with others who resemble themselves, who share their ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
