Two star crossed people, Rita who had a crush on Tyler back in high school and Tyler who wanted her but she was dating his brother. Rita needs a ride home for Christmas and Tyler sabotaged her ride and her job so he could take her home but he wants to spend more time with her so he tells her he needs to make stops along the way. Rita needs to figure out how to make money along the way to finish paying off the special gift she purchased for her parents...

This was an adorable story. I loved the interaction between Tyler and Rita. This novella was quick but very well written as is usual for this author. I loved the dual POVs. It helps me to understand the character especially where the past has shaped the actions of that character.

There were just a few misspelling but then again it was an ARC copy and not the final. I recommend this to anyone!

Rita, the “wild” child in the Cole family, and Tyler, the “fix-it” guy in the Ramsey family, travel back to their hometown together for the holidays. While fighting the physical attraction between them becomes futile, past hurts on both sides of their families causes trouble in the present.

Can Rita and Tyler put the past behind them and move forward? Do they get their HEA? This was a quick, fun story - heartwarming for the holiday season!
