Blaze had planned to go home to Rockfield, Kentucky, some day. He just hadn’t expected it to be this soon ...
Until Badger offers a reason to head in that direction. As a longtime animal-rescue volunteer, hearing about the plight of Solo, a shepherd with severe dissociative issues from her military days, Blaze knows he has to see this through.
Camilla, on her way to an event she’s planning, tries to avoid hitting a dog as it runs across the road. Blaze witnesses the accident and stops to help, realizing this could be the shepherd he’s looking for. Even better, Camilla is a hoot, and it’s been so long since Blaze has had anything to smile about.
But memories run long and insults cut deep, and someone isn’t happy about their blossoming friendship. Or maybe even several someones … How far will they go to stop it? And who will still be standing when this all ends?

Blaze: The K-9 Files
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I also purchased a copy as I LOVED it.
This was such a great story. Once I started, I couldn't stop. The plot was a real twister. I totally guessed the wrong culprit! I adored Camilla and her spunk (especially the scene after her house was broken into!!) Blaze was a wonderful addition to the men searching for the missing K-9s. Even though he didn't serve as a handler in the military, his family raised and showed two different large breeds. Blaze had a loving heart towards canines. These two come together beautifully.
The plot was well written. I really hated to see the story end though. I highly recommend this one. There was one bedroom scene and it was very brief and not at all anything of erotica in nature.
Tied up too quick!
This is book 4 in the K-9 Files series and it features Blaze and Camilla. This series is about veterans finding lost military working dogs and through that, finding love. This story was more about Blaze and Camilla than Solo, the MWD. The story line was good but it needed to be longer so a deeper search into the trouble surrounding Camilla could be made.
The story line was good but unlike the stories before this one, this search was almost an afterthought. As usual, the characters were awesome! I can’t wait for the next book in this fantastic series. Sizzling cover!
Blaze: The K9 Files-04
Another fun but challenging book by Dale Mayer. Each book of the K9 Series just keep getting better. Blaze is a retired SEAL, retired due to injuries received from his tour of duty. He is returning home with a mission. He is to locate Solo, a missing retired military dog. Even before he gets home he encounters Camilla, an event planner whose past is linked to Blaze. Vandalism, mysterious figures dressed in black, false leads. I was kept is suspense, trying to figure out the who and the why. Well done!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
