Bleak House

CHARLES DICKENS (1812-1870), one of the greatest authors of the Victorian Period, transformed the art of fiction. The author of numerous novels and short stories, including Great Expectations, A Tale Of Two Cities, David Copperfield, and Bleak House, he is considered to be a literary colossus, and a central figure in the development of the modern novel.  



Bleak House is one of Charles Dickens’ rare and genuine masterpieces; an enchanting work of artistry deserving of the label in a thousand different ways.  It can be found on countless lists of the finest literary works of all time, and is one of his major achievements. 


Published in hundreds of editions and translated into virtually every modern language, it has not been out of print since 1853.
