I'm used to going for the easy things in life.
The easy A in school.
The easy lay in bed. The easy life my trust fund affords me.
Until I met Shelby.
Never in my life have I found retro T-shirts and lip balm so damn sexy.
She's exactly what I never knew I wanted.
And she's anything but easy.
But suddenly, easy is overrated.
Only one damn problem... For Shelby, hating me is easy.
For the first time in my life, I have to work for something. And though she may not be easy...she'll be worth it.

Amazing
Tate doesn't have to work for anything. His trust fund allows him to buy whatever he wants, he takes classes he knows he'll get an A in, and his governor-father keeps him from getting into too much trouble. When Tate meets Shelby, he's captivated by the one woman who refuses to come easy and does everything he can to get her to succumb to his charms.
After working tirelessly for three years, Shelby can finally afford to move out of the dorms for her senior yer of college. Shelby's life has been so difficult and she can't trust many people outside of her two best friends. She's not really interested in getting to know her new neighbor but when she learns that he can help her pass her Advanced French class, she reconsiders spending time with him.
The author did an amazing job connecting me to Tate and Shelby. I felt such a broad range of emotions with this story. They both have hurts in their pasts that affect their actions in the present and they help each other move past those experiences. Tate and Shelby complement each other perfectly. This story draws you in and doesn't let you put it down until the end.
