Each of Pettrey's Novels Has Been a Multi-Month Bestseller
FBI agent Declan Grey is in the chase of his life--but isn't sure exactly what he's chasing after. Threatened by a terrorist that "the wrath is coming," Grey fears something horrible is about to be unleashed on American soil. When his investigation leads him to a closed immigrant community, he turns to Tanner Shaw to help him. She's sought justice for refugees and the hurting around the world, and if there's anyone who can help him, it's Tanner.
Tanner Shaw has joined the FBI as a crisis counselor . . . meaning she now has more opportunity to butt heads with Declan. But that tension also includes a spark she can't deny, and she's pretty sure Declan feels the same. But before anything can develop between them, they discover evidence of a terror cell--and soon are in a race against the clock to stop the coming "wrath" that could cost thousands their lives.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Readers are dropped into a close-knit group of federal agents in Pettrey's heart-pounding third installment of her Chesapeake Valor series (after Still Life.) FBI agent Declan Grey is slowly piecing together clues to what he believes is an imminent terrorist attack. When the FBI's new crisis counselor (and Declan's secret crush), Tanner Shaw, becomes attached to his investigation, their feelings for each other find opportunity to blossom in the midst of the looming fear. Both agents rely on their personal Christian faith to guide and strengthen them, a character quality handled deftly by Pettrey. Eventually, Declan and Tanner's investigation begins to align with that of their comrades Griffin and Parker (and others from previous books in the series). With non-stop action, Pettrey's entertaining novel sweeps the reader into a high-stakes plot that endangers the country as well as recurring series characters. A well-placed cliff-hanger ensures that readers will be back for the next installment.
Customer Reviews
I’m 14!
I’m 14, and I love this series! It isn’t just for adults, teens can read it too. I’m read it first at 13, and love it so much. I don’t recommend this book for sheltered teens, but if you have a good grasp of terrorism and black ops, then teens can definitely read this book. I have read all of Dani’s books, and she is amazing!! I love her every series, and this book especially. I own it and reread this book constantly. If you like law enforcement Christian romance, this is the book for you!!!!! 😍
