Blind Spots

Every spiritual leader carries unseen vulnerabilities— hidden internal struggles that quietly distort calling, erode obedience, and limit long-term effectiveness. Blind spots are not evidence of bad character or a corrupt spirit. They reveal our humanity. In Blind Spots, Doug Clay guides readers through the subtle warning signs that indicate internal drift before it leads to visible failure. Drawing from Scripture, pastoral insight, and real-world leadership experience, each chapter identifies a specific leadership blind spot, explains how it develops, and provides biblical solutions for restoration and sustained spiritual health. Leaders rarely recognize the blind spots identified in this book, yet they often present a critical threat to faithful leadership. This book is not for leaders who believe they have arrived; it is for those who desire to finish well. Through honest reflection and Spirit-led practices, readers will discover how God graciously exposes our blind spots and transforms them into opportunities for spiritual maturity, lasting faithfulness, and deeper dependence on Him.
