Blinded by the White

I wish I could say that, I had enough. That life had taught me a lesson, and it was time for me to move on and get my life in order. No, that lost soul that found himself half dead in the mud, had many more trials to endure; more challenges, with his own demise hanging in the balance. He was still oblivious to what was going on around him, most of all, he felt small, insignificant. He felt like he was a lower form of life, a slug, that's how he viewed himself. Perhaps if he had gone as low as he could go, then, he couldn't go any lower; if only that were true.
