Blood Flower

In all the regions of Lyria the races that walked through the lands were many, and none so wild as the forest orc. Their skill at hunting was matched only by their desire to live free and in harmony with nature. Some wild things cannot even be tamed with magic, no matter how dependent their captors make them.

Blood Flower was taken prisoner by a tainted shaman when she was a child. She became a woman with the power to command the abysmal and shadow magic her Master forced into her the moment he captured her. On her first night of freedom she meets Thalia, a pacifist healer. Stunned by the death that follows Blood Flower, Thalia discovers how little the orc woman knows of the world outside the islands where she was held captive. Together, they face the covetous might of monarchy, temple, and coven, as they build a friendship that neither celestial nor demon can sunder.
