The final volume in Robin Hobb's popular Rain Wilds fantasy series, Blood of Dragons completes the story of the dragons, their keepers, and their quest to find the lost city of Kelsingra—and the mythical silver wells that the dragons need to survive.
Can Tintaglia and the Elderlings unlock the secrets of the ancient city? Or are they doomed to extinction?
The world of Robin Hobb’s Rain Wilds series has been praised by Booklist as "one of the most gripping settings in modern fantasy," and Publishers Weekly called the Rain Wilds books "a meticulously realized fantasy tale" and "a welcome addition to contemporary dragon lore."
The fourth Rain Wilds Chronicles epic (after City of Dragons), Hobb s 13th novel set in the world of the Elderlings, wraps up the current set of storylines involving a new generation of dragons and the Elderlings (human-dragon hybrids) who serve and protect them. As most of the dragons and their keepers repopulate and reinvigorate the lost city of Kelsingra, the ailing Duke of Chalced sends people to hunt dragons for their life-extending and transformative properties, and the ancient dragon queen Tintaglia fights for her life. With a wide scope of coverage and a narrative that jumps among members of the sprawling cast, this tale feels both leisurely and unfocused, and knowledge of previous installments is essential to full comprehension. Hobb makes up for this breadth with a wealth of detail and language bordering on poetic.

Satisfactory ending to a good series! A must read! Thanks to my cousin who introduced me to this series! It's too bad she didn't live to read the final chapter. May she rest in peace.
I'm excited. And I don't think that that 448 pages is all that short, it could be worse. At least I'm not having to wait as long as I have for other book series. I'm hooked, bad.
Another half book
So just like the last book, half the length all the price. No thanks.
